Dr. Tellez accepts Veterinarian role at Alta

Alta is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Carlos Tellez to the position of Veterinarian, effective August 1, 2005. In this role, Dr. Tellez will focus his efforts on facilitating the consulting and training aspects in English and Spanish for the Alta Preg Program, including but not limited to: reproduction, general dairy animal husbandry, reproduction programs, artificial insemination, and milking procedures.

Dr. Tellez received his veterinary degree from U.D.C.A University in Colombia in 1998.
His thesis work included andrologic evaluation in Zebu Brahman bulls. He worked as an intern with Zebu Brahman cattle, and then spent the next 2 years working as a veterinarian with dairy farms.

In 2000, Dr. Tellez arrived in the USA, and worked for two years as a dairy scientist for a large dairy in Wisconsin, and then worked in the State of Washington, specializing in Artificial Insemination.

Dr. Tellez is married to Patricia (a lawyer) who is currently a stay-at-home Mom to their 2 children, Carlos Jose, and Sofia. The Tellez are expecting their third child.
