Jan Bobbink as Vice-President of Sales for Alta in Europe

I am proud that Alta has reached another milestone. We are growing with confidence and showing increased profitability. We are standing on solid ground with a strong and united team. We are also aggressively looking for opportunities to invest and grow through acquisitions and alliances that create value for progressive dairies worldwide. These are important strategic initiatives that will take us to the next level, and they will take more of my focus going forward.

In order to anticipate the growing demands of my and Roland Bakker’s (Koepon Holding CFO) time and attention to develop these opportunities, there is a need to strengthen and support the sales management team in Europe. Therefore I’m excited to announce that Jan Bobbink has been appointed as Vice-President of Sales for Alta Genetics in Europe starting on May 1st, 2008.

Jan will be responsible for our retail markets in The Netherlands, Flanders, the United Kingdom, Germany and Poland. He will work with the Senior Sales Managers in these markets to develop and implement plans that focus on realizing our full potential across the region. Jan is also part of the Alta Strategy Group that is working on further investments to grow Alta’s business and profitability.

On the financial side Jan will be assisted by Bart van Doorn, who will be in charge of the financial management of the above mentioned markets. Both Jan and Bart will be reporting to Roland and I moving forward.

Their new responsibilities imply that in the Dutch organization some changes will be made as well. Arjan Bom, marketing manager of Alta Netherlands has been appointed as the new country and sales manager in The Netherlands and Flanders, starting on May 1st, 2008.

I’m proud that Alta is moving ahead so fast and successfully that the time has come to make these changes. It is another sign that we are on the right track. Alta is getting stronger in every market we’re active. We are building the great global company that we dream about.
