Kevin Muxlow named Alta Global Marketing Manager

Mr. Kevin Muxlow has been appointed to the position of Global Marketing Manager for Alta Genetics, reporting to Cees Hartmans, CEO, and operating from the company headquarters in Balzac, Alberta , Canada, effective October 3, 2005. Kevin’s appointment is the result of an executive decision to increase Alta’s investment in marketing, moving forward.

Kevin will lead Alta Genetics’ global marketing initiatives, corporate branding campaigns, and development of first-class marketing materials to promote Alta’s products and programs and to support its business strategies. Kevin will lead the Marketing Department and work closely with Alta’s marketing team to implement global marketing strategies.

Kevin comes to Alta Genetics with over seven years of experience that includes barley market development in a global marketplace. Kevin has also had in-depth experience with trade policy development between Canada, the US and other agri-food importing countries and is currently the Chairman of the International Trade Committee for Grain Growers of Canada.

Kevin was raised on an 850 cow dairy farm and 1500 head custom feedlot in the province of British Columbia, and he has served on the Board of Directors of the corporate farm operation.

Kevin received his Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Guelph in 2003, with a concentration in Marketing and Finance, and a B.A. in Political Science in 1995. He received honors for his MBA project entitled “What’s it Worth? An Equity Valuation of a Commercial Dairy Farm.”

Kevin and his wife Serina live in Calgary, Alberta with their two young children.
