Matt Quesnell will be joining the Alta Advantage® team

We are pleased to announce that Matt Quesnell will be joining the AltaAdvantage® team effective April 1, 2008. Matt will be taking over the Great Northwest region (WA, ID, OR, CO) previously serviced by Todd Koch.

Matt joins Alta with a great combination of technical understanding, industry experience, and on-farm knowledge. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Idaho and a Masters degree in reproductive physiology from Washington State University in 1999. Upon graduation, Matt returned to the home farm in Idaho (Harvey Quesnell Ranches) and expanded the dairy herd to 700 cows. A year ago, the family decided to sell the operation at which time Matt joined Cargill as an animal nutritionist. Although Matt has enjoyed the nutrition side of the industry, he admits his love has always been for genetics, reproduction and breeding cows!

Matt has had a previous association and appreciation for Alta and the Advantage® program, being a previous customer of Art VanHolland, which was certainly beneficial to both Matt and Alta! Knowing the kind of service he expected and appreciated as a customer, will certainly help Matt to be successful now that he is part of the team providing that service to our customers.

We are excited to have Matt join the Alta Advantage® team, as his enthusiasm for the dairy industry, technical knowledge, and keen eye for good cows will allow him to fit in well with other members of the team, and help take the program to new heights.
