Mr. Ron Bird will become Canadian Sales Manager

Alta Genetics Inc. is pleased to announce that Mr. Ron Bird will become Canadian Sales Manager effective January 1, 2008. Mr. Bird is a graduate of the University of Guelph and has been a valued Alta employee for over 10 years. Ron is currently the Team Leader for South Western Ontario and will continue to reside in Ontario as he transitions to this new role.

Dr. David Chalack who currently holds this position welcomes the change and looks forward to his new role as Western Canadian Team Leader. David will continue to work out of the head office in Balzac Alberta. David assumed his role of Canadian Sales and Marketing Manager in 2001 after serving as European Marketing Director for several years prior.

Chalack states that “The Canadian Sales Team has many talented individuals including outstanding Team Leads in Quebec and the Maritimes making Alta one of the strongest AI teams in the country.” This change allows David to continue his significant contributions to Alta Genetics Inc. as well as fulfill his obligations on the Executive and Board of the Calgary Exhibition and Stampede, Industry affiliations, Partner in Rocky Mountain Holsteins and other business interests.

Alta is pleased to accommodate David as he transitions between these obligations and is positive that his passion for the industry and for Alta Genetics will help lead the Western Canadian team in the years to come. David has done an admirable job with the Canadian Team during his tenure and we are excited to have him transition his leadership to Mr. Bird who has developed his leadership skills from within Alta.
