District Sales Manager

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position is ultimately responsible for maintaining and increasing sales volume with established accounts and aggressively seeking new customers in the sales of genetic & reproductive products and services to large dairies in the territory assigned to you. The DSM is responsible for direct sales and delivery of products to all herds within the territory as well as sales support to any independent sales representatives and A.I. Technicians in the sales region. Your goals and objectives will align with our customer’s values: an absolute devotion to customer satisfaction, courtesy, and professionalism in everything we do.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • In-depth understanding of the artificial insemination industry and of Alta Genetics Sires.
  • Knowledge in reproductive programs and products
  • Excellent sales and negotiating skills and experience.
  • Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must have an excellent work ethic and organizational skills
  • Computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office Products
  • Experience with herd management programs (DC305, PCDART, DHIPLUS) preferred
  • Must be value orientated, resilient, disciplined and dedicated
  • Self-starter with proven energy and motivation, willing to find, develop & close sales leads.
  • Must be results oriented and driven by both financial and career opportunities.
  • Valid driver’s license

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

  • Two years technical education, or equivalent dairy business experience
