With the AltaGen Embryo program, customers have the opportunity to buy embryos, both sexed and unsexed, from world renown cow families. Many of the cows in the Alta Nucleus herd are on a flush program and all of these donor cows are bull mothers with sons being sampled in the US & Canada.

Altagen Nucleus Herd is housed at Coopon Flora, Elmira, Ontario. Coopon houses 220 milking cows and 285 heifers in a free stall environment with the bulls for AI housed at a nearby farm (Milkyway). Under the management of Henk Schuurmans, Coopon boasts an average of 11166 kgs for Milk with 3.7% Fat and 3.1% Protein on 3X per day milking. The Nucleus or “Altagen Program's” main objective is to provide Alta with top AI sires from the Nucleus’ Elite donors while also producing embryos to sell worldwide. With daughters like the Hershels and Boss’ making their mark and heifers coming from Finley, Throne, Adam, Stormatic, Champion, Titanic, Freelance and Goodluck along with the top Canadian and US sires being used lthis program will continue to provide Alta as well as North America with outstanding genetics.
