6th Sr. 2-yr-old, World Dairy Expo

Another 1st lactation Leduc daughter in the US, Goodins-View Leduc Majesty has scored VG-89, EX-MS raising the total over the past 12 months to 8 daughters. Majesty was bred by Charles R. Goodin, although the mating was made by Charles Cull and his son Clay who managed the farm until the herd was dispersed in December 2001. Since then Clay has joined Alta Genetics as a District Sales Manager in Kentucky.

Here’s what Clay had to say about Majesty: “The mating of Leduc on her Skychief dam seemed to be a hand and glove mating. All the Skychief needed was to be taller and cleaner boned, especially in her hocks. Did Leduc ever deliver great results! Not only is Majesty 4 inches taller than her dam, she is more snugly attached in the fore udder and flatter boned throughout. Majesty’s 2nd dam was sired by the former Alta bull, Peartome Jackpot.”

Majesty was less than 10 days short of being a Jr. 2-yr old in 2003, making her 6th place finish in the Sr. 2-yr-old class as World Dairy Expo that much more impressive. In fact, she was the youngest cow in the class. She went on to be named Intermediate Champion at the Grand National Jr. Show in Louisville, KY and has been nominated for Jr. All-American status to cap off a fantastic year for her new owners, Katie Gibson and Kyle Caulk, Eminence, KY.
