Second Crop Kievests Milking

It’s been three years since Kievest, as the first Dutch sampled Alta young sire, graduated with a fantastic first crop proof. Now his second crop daughters are beginning to calve and early reaction from producers has been very positive. The May sire summaries provide Kievest with an additional 54 daughters to his production assessment, delivering only minor changes to his milk, fat, protein and INET values.

Even today, there are just three bulls in the Netherlands that can meet the criteria of > +1000 kg Milk, >0.00% protein and > 105 for Frame, Udder and F&L Composites.

An exciting example demonstrating what can be expected with second crop Kievest daughters appears below. Tollebeke Ida 165, bred by Jan Ruyter in Urk, NL is captured by in an amateur digital photo calved just 6 days and already milking nearly 70 lbs per day. Her calf, a Timlynn Adam bull calf is destined for sampling in the Netherlands. Ida’s dam is a VG-87 point Fatal from the same family that has produced Lord Bailey.

Kievest is the ideal bull for the dairy producer that is seeking for high reliability sires that carry exceptional production proofs with a balanced type profile. Kievest is also rated 8% for Calving Ease in the US!
