Aaron the World Beater

Over the past several years Alta’s Dixie-Lee Aaron has enjoyed stints at the top of various industry lists – for overall ranking, for Type, and especially for Feet & Legs. He’s been among the Type leaders in the UK and in the Netherlands; he achieved top 25 LPI status in Canada too. In Italy and Spain, Aaron reigned supreme for an extended period. Now Aaron is the clear leader in the Czech Republic too. While sons now are also confirming his prepotent genetic qualities, Aaron continues to enjoy exceptional demand late into his exemplary career.

Aaron #1 again in the Czech Republic

Dixie-Lee Aaron has been recognized again as the best bull among bulls with official breeding values in the Czech Republic in March 2005. With new daughters additions for type and production he maintained the same distance from the second bull as in January. Aaron’s 18 new type daughters increased his F&L composite by 3 points and udder composite by 7 points. As a result, he is the number one bull for F&L and number three for Udders in the Czech Holstein population.

Other Alta Sires Too...
Big gains with new daughters were also generated by Ricecrest Marshall. He added 10 new daughters for production proofs (132 daughters/46 herds) and they increased Marshall’s proofs for kg of milk, fat and protein. With 20 new daughters in 7 herds (80/33) for type he became one of the best bulls in the Czech Republic for udder composite.

Among the Czech Top-10 list, then, Aaron occupies the #1 spot while his paternal brother, Hershel, is #4 and their sire, Luke, sits at #6. In Top-100 listing more Alta bulls appear: Marshall (#15), Lead (#16) and Bellwood (#67). Twenty-nine bulls in the Czech Top-100 list are sired by an Alta bull or carry an Alta Maternal Grandsire – in particular Luke and Bellwood appear regularly. There are also sons of Marty, Formation, Mandel and Wade.
