SHADY is yet from another “who’s who” pedigree of the industry and is backed by 7 generations of VG or EX dams. The dam of SHADY, Altagen Rudolph Sharon produced in two lactations over 70,000 lbs with 4.6% Fat and 3.5% protein. The second dam was one of Pete Blodgett’s favorite cows when she was at Alta Nucleus herd in Cochrane, Sunnylodge Sharon. She was an Alta sired GRAND daughter from the world-renowned “Prelude” daughter, Sunnylodge Prelude Spottie 18*. |

Sunnylodge Sharon is also the dam of the high LPI sire Altagen SMARTY and she produced over 87,000 lbs with 4.1% fat in two lactations. These three cows together produced 46 daughters that average over 4.0% fat, making SHADY a bull for the modern dairy producer. SHADY daughters follow a lot of the same breeding patterns as “Smarty”. They are moderate size cows that get around the free stalls with ease on a solid set of feet & legs. They have strong fore udders with perfect teat placement. They are transmitting adequate width to the rear udder and ideal slope to their rumps. Use SHADY to his best advantage on those strong front-ended cows that need some quality, milk and components put back into them. |
