Lemmer: tons of milk from beautiful udders!

Lemmer is a great addition to Alta’s line up. This Aaron-son out of the Lou Etta family sires great type with superb udders and lots of milk. The following selections will show the unique selling points of this great sire. A great group of farmers are always searching for bulls that sire cows that easily produce lots of milk and which are built to last. Bull selection on milk yield shows the quality of Lemmer. Within this select group of high production bulls, Lemmer is by far the highest type bull.

Many farmers are focused on type but also want to improve the level of production. By a selection on type, PTAT > +1.50, many respected bulls appear. Lemmer is the only bull with more then 1.000 lbs of milk.

Lemmer versus Finley
With 1.434 lbs milk and +1.83 PTAT Finley is the bull that also achieves the criteria used.
Lemmer and Finley sire similar production yields and components. Lemmer sires better feet & legs as Finleyexpected from an Aaron-son. Unfortunately Finley is dead and there is no semen available anymore. Customers who have used Finley will also like to use Lemmer.

A selection on type based on Dutch breeding values shows just 10 bulls with 113 or more for total type. Worldwide respected type bulls appear. Alta has 3 bulls in this group: Lucky Mike, Aaron and Lemmer. Lemmer at +1321 kg milk is also the highest milk bull.

Lemmer is superb in the combination of high milk yields with great type and especially the well-attached and shallow udders. Lots of milk and beautiful cows a sure recipe for a high level of customer satisfaction.
