Lotto Red receives EX classification in CROATIA

Two months after Alta Lotto Red (Koerier 114 X Marty Red) was exported to Croatia, the bull was classified EX in that country. Only 2 other bulls received this qualification during the yearly Bull Presentation of the “Bull Centre for Reproduction and Breeding of Animals” of Croatia in Križevci.

Alta Lotto Red is bred and tested in Holland in the Red&White program of Alta. This impressive bull delivers cows that display good size with lots of width in the front and shallow, well attached udders. In April, Lotto was purchased by the Croatian AI station, where the bull will be used in the Holstein program and mainly as a crossbreeding bull for the Simmental cows, which hold the majority of the Croatian cow population. The good udder traits together with the improvement of Udder Health and SCS make him very suitable for this purpose.

The approx. 400 people attending the bull presentation were clearly impressed by his appearance, and are using Lotto already in their herds. During the presentation there were 20 Simmental bulls shown and the 3 Holstein bulls that were recently imported from Holland, USA and Germany, including Lotto. After this presentation the bulls that were classified EX were ‘celebrated’. The bulls received presents and the people a big lunch with live music. Lotto seemed to enjoy all the attention.
