A Solid foundation of VG or Ex Dams with a pedigree packed full of high producing good uddered cows. The Dam is a VG 88 Manfred, followed by a VG 87 Patron, back to EX 90 Leadman; BRANDT-VIEW YANKEE will sire that kind of animal most commercial minded dairyman wish for: the long-lasting trouble free kind! They are the kind of cows you don’t even notice, but they are always there, making you money.
BRANDT-VIEW YANKEE daughters are medium sized, open ribbed, dairy cows. They display great overall feet and leg traits exhibiting a good foot angle and perfect locomotion. The cows are wide through the thurls, consequently having more room for their high, wide rear udders. Udder cleft is strong and teat placement is very desirable. Second calf Yankees are calving in right now and reports are excellent. They are calving out easily and udders are staying put.
In the May proof round, Yankee added 37 more daughters to his production proof and 26 for type. He made a strong increase in his proof this as a result, moving up 50 TPI points. His type proof held, making some gains on udder composite. Combined fat and protein sky rocketed from 94 CFP to 111 lbs CFP, solidifying him as a true all-round performer.
