11H7094 AltaMYRON

Cow Family
Although AltaMYRON’s cow family may not be as familiar to you as some other cow families, AltaMYRON’s pedigree boasts of sale toppers, former number one CTPI cows, breed leaders in protein pounds and cows that have been in demand for sons and embryos world wide. Myron’s great grand dam Aerostar Ann, is one of seven “VG or EX” high producing full sisters that trace back to the foundation cow Blackstar Kathryn,”EX”. Ann had great width and a balance of dairy strength. This combination of dairy strength has bred true in Myron’s pedigree. Myron’s grand dam is the former number one CTPI cow Celsius Dusty. Celsius Dusty was not the tallest or biggest framed cow but she was huge in her dairy qualities. She had a paper thin hide and a razor sharp shoulder. She was a silky uddered cow that tracked perfectly when viewed from behind. The mating of Celsius to Aerostar Ann increased her already high levels of fat and protein per cent. Celsius Dusty was flushed to Mattie G to fill several bull contracts. Mattie G was introduced to provide more size and scale along improving bone quality. The mating turned out to be a winner. It filled the bull contracts and produced Myron’s dam and an “EX” full sister. Mattie Marie was long necked sharp shouldered with a beautiful up hill front end. The will to milk had bred through four generations. This was proven when Mattie Marie was in the breeds top five for protein pounds. Marie’s genetics were in demand world wide for her bulls and embryos.

At the time Addison was an international mating sire and he was a perfect mating to go with Marie’s style, snug soft udders and her high fat and protein percents. Addison was also a very attractive mating for the international markets. Addison, Mattie G, Celsius, Aerostar, Blackstar and, mars Tony are all bill paying bulls. They are all in Myron’s sire stack making Myron the ultimate in profitable bulls. Do your self a favor and get familiar with AltaMYRON.

Breeding Pattern
Overall there have been an estimated 60-70 AltaMYRON daughters visually inspected by Advantage consultants. All have the same synopsis when describing the daughters here’s what David Hill Advantage Consultant, had to say:
“I have observed 20 AltaMYRON daughters to date (all in Advantage Herds). I am impressed by the overall strength and the substance of bone the MYRON daughters’ exhibit. The pedigree may have strength built in, but with 20 DNA-verified daughters observed, I believe AltaMYRON is certainly a strength sire! I like the width of rear udder, the consistently great ligament and the teat placement is nearly always on the inner half of the quarter. I have seen a number with extremely high udder clearance daughters with small tight udders. The leg set has varied from extreme straight in the hock to quite a bit of set. The AltaMYRON daughters are moderate to large in stature, have deep open rib and more often than not lots of width of chest, barrel and drop to their rear rib. I see these AltaMYRON daughters as no nonsense profit centers for any dairyman.”
