Siring so much frame, maybe they should have called him “Wide-Man”! About Wildman Family - Audio (Click) by Mike Menendez - Alta Regional Sire Analyst “She was an extremely strong, wide powerful cow. Perhaps the widest and strongest I have ever owned” comments Robert Smith of My Ladys Manor Farm when he talks about Ladys-Manor Top Gun Jemini EX-93, the 5th dam of AltaWILDMAN. “The whole family breeds that way, extremely wide, long, and deep in the frame. And boy do they milk!” There is a reason for all the excitement surrounding AltaWILDMAN, the new high type, high production BW Marshall son at Alta Genetics: the mating makes sense and his maternal line is extraordinary. His dam, Ladys-Manor Wynona, was a powerful daughter of Ladys-Manor Winchester that exhibited the same width, depth of barrel, and length of frame as Top Gun Jemini, her paternal grand dam. She was bred to BW Marshall to add length of bone and to compliment the high production in her family. Wynona’s dam was Ladys-Manor Temptious, an EX Elton daughter and a full sister to 11HO4451 LADYS-MANOR EL TEMPTOR, a component specialist and second crop success at Alta who is still nearly 1400 TPI. Temptious also had a huge frame and walked on great feet and legs. The 3rd dam of AltaWILDMAN was by Mellwood and “probably the biggest cow we ever had at Ladys-Manor”, according to Smith. The 4th dam was an EX-91 Blackstar and the 5th dam, making her second appearance in this power-packed pedigree, was Top Gun Jemini! Two crosses to the cow that got stuck in the parlor. In all, there are 8 consecutive generations of VG and EX cows in the pedigree and they average almost 90 points.
The positive reports are pouring in on the AltaWILDMAN daughters. From coast to coast, our ADVANTAGE Consultants see the consistent type and high production. An unusually high percentage of first-crop daughters are being pictured, providing further evidence that he is a type specialist.
