Do what you Say: Deliver Results!
Say what you do, do what you say. It is how one earns trust. AltaLEDUC’s (Lystel Leduc) performance at the 2005 Royal Winter Fair where he captured his third consecutive Premier Sire award is about delivering results. With two milking class winners and two more daughters providing strong second place finishes, AltaLEDUC put another exclamation mark on a hall-of-fame career.

A sporting analogy seems appropriate: AltaLEDUC is a Specialty Teams player on that big-league team. He’s certainly not a bull for everyone. His daughters are too big for most commercial environments, but for that industry niche that desires to compete at shows - to breed or lead that next winner - he is the most bankable bull since Starbuck himself ruled the ring. He doesn’t need to be “your” bull, but he demands respect for delivering in spades on what was promised five years ago.

The summary of the show for AltaLEDUC can best be described by the pictures themselves. It began in the Jr-2-yr-old class with a victory for Morsan Farms with Tomalynn Leduc Della. Building upon her victory at Red Deer a few weeks ago Della simply over-powered the class with her impressive width and outstanding udder. In the Jr-3-yr-olds, Pierre Boulet’s Regwall Leduc Carla made it close as judge Henk Van Exel from Lodi, CA considered his top pair both ways.

Silverridge Leduc Noleta

The Sr-3-yr-old class was among the most highly anticipated of the day, pitting the extremely tall, long, youthful and recently calved Silverridge Leduc Noleta against the massive framed Flettdale R Marker Mame. She would win the class and be named Intermediate Champion, while Noleta walked away the Reserve. In the same class, Lystel Leann Dante sired by Regancrest Elton Dante grabbed the third spot. She provides an interesting story as well: out of a Comestar Leader dam, her grandam by Jed is AltaLEDUC’s full sister!

In the following class – the 4-yr-olds and the final class where AltaLEDUC offspring would compete, Irwindale Leduc Macy owned by Continental, Rocky Mountain and R&F Livestock, was pulled first and never relented that leadership position. Together, the milking daughters of AltaLEDUC teamed up to provide him a rather easy victory in the Premier Sire race.

Still, while the banners never grow old for Alta employees – it is a matter of pride – it’s really less about the bull and more about trust. At every level within the organization there is a commitment to create value for clients, to earn their trust and to look back and confirm that Alta has delivered upon what was promised. AltaLEDUC is an example of this determination, but the Alta Advantage program provides even clearer evidence that these are not mere words. After all, five years of building before its official launch were needed. In the meantime, a host of bulls now gaining second crop status - bulls with significant representation in Advantage herds - have exceeded upon expectations, so there is good reason to believe the revolutionary approach to testing will build trust.
|
It sounds simple enough: to do what you say, to not over promise. Alta backs it up. Whether one looks to the Advantage testing initiative or upon AltaLEDUC’s latest Royal Winter Fair achievements, they reinforce the message that Alta delivers genetics you can trust.
