Alta November 2005 Jersey Highlights
What a great day for the Alta Jersey Program. The majority of our bulls gained noticeable JPI points. We have 1 new Proven Sire, 2 New Specialty Sires and 3 of the Top 10 JPI bulls in the breed according to the ACJA Active AI Jersey Bulls with At Least 70% Reliability Protein list (2 of those in the top 5).
What is even more impressive is that Alta has more bulls in the top 10 for pounds of Milk than any other company 4 bulls (#1 Dunkirk, #4 Nix, #5 Saber and #9 Abe). Milk still pays the bills and we understand that! On top of the fluid pounds of milk, we also excel in pounds of fat and protein much needed components in our Cheese Markets. 2 of our bulls (Abe and Echo) rank in the top 10 for pounds of fat. While for pounds of protein, Abe is #1, Saber #11, Barber Bill #12, Rasmus #13 and Dunkirk #16.
