ACTIVE SIRE HIGHLIGHTS

122JE5198 - Short Name: ABE
Total Production Package, Long Lasting. ABE daughters continue to prove that they are a profitable addition to any herd. Daughters gain overall type as they mature and prove to have the kind of type that last. They are moderate in size with slope to the rump and close teat placement. Abe is a breed leader for all production traits: +1431 lbs. Milk, +64 lbs Protein (+0.07% & 10 lbs higher than any other active sire), +92 lbs. Fat (+0.14%), +583 CM$, +538 NM$, +274 CY$ Leader CM$. Abe is the perfect sire for dairies looking to make a profit on high volume, high cheese yield milk and wanting cows that stay in the herd for a long time (+3.3 PL makes him our #2 PL bull). He is also perfect for herds looking to make high PA heifers and seeking high JPITM pedigreed offspring. High fertility, low EFI. Abe is also a good option for first generation crossbreeding.

High JPITM, Complete Package. QUE is a bull that does a lot of things right for production, type and health. Production: +1025 lbs Milk, +74 lbs Fat (+0.14%), +41 lbs Protein (+0.03%), +474 CM$, +453 NM$, +188 CY$. Que daughters tend to run uphill with hard tops, clean bone, angular front ends and a wide, deep rib (+1.1 PTAT, +1.4 DF). He’s the perfect bull to dairy up some cows that have gotten a little round or thick boned. Que is a leader for RUW and daughters have high rear udders with strong ligaments, great teat placement - udders that will stay attached as they age. Health Traits: +2.90 SCS and a breed leader for DPR @ +1.0. Que has been added to our list of high fertility bulls.

High PL, Great Udders. MAX is a bull that puts all the right things together for today’s profit minded producers. Max comes from the Wilsonview Maggie Mae family, a family known to transmit great udders, and he is no exception, a breed leader for RUH (+2.2) and shallow udders. +1.5 Type, the older cows are moderate to large in stature with deep bodies, an open sweeping rib and well attached mammary systems with lots of veination. Max is the #1 US bred bull for PL (+4.1), showing that daughters are going to stay in the herd for a long time. High fertility. He is also a good component bull - +0.07% Fat and +0.01% Protein.

High Type, Low SCS – REDWOOD came into our active lineup in May 06 with a Berretta free pedigree. Daughters are tall, long, upstanding dairy individuals. Redwood is a breed leader for udders - +2.3 RUH, +1.7 RUW and +1.1 cleft. In addition to tremendous type (+1.4 PTAT), Redwood is a breed leader for low SCS (+2.76) and has solid production (+868 lbs Milk).

Balanced Cows, Great Udders – RASMUS daughters are consistent cookie cutter images of each other. They are square, straight tracking cows with width from one end to the other. +621 lbs Milk, +0.03% Fat, +0.02% Protein.

Frame Leader, High Milk – Saber is a leader in the industry for Type (+1.7), Stature (+3.0), Strength (+1.1), Dairy Form (+2.4), and RUW (+1.8). With their tall, long bodies, hard tops and uphill run, Saber daughters stand out from the calf hutches to the milking string. Saber is a high reliability sire with +1186 lbs Milk. 2nd Crop is starting to calve.

11JE0737 – Short Name: MEGASTAR
Frame Specialist, High Protein – MEGASTAR is a true frame specialist. I have had the opportunity to see a number of daughters in Australia and they are tall, upstanding cows with a hard top and tremendous front end. They have width from one end to the other. They have a great foot and leg and would work out great in our commercial environments. The daughters really follow the type of their dam – take a look at their photos on the website. Megastar is a high protein bull.

11JE0753 - Short Name: ECHO
High Fat, Udder Improver. ECHO comes from the Jenks Berretta Mary Mae family, so it should be no surprise that daughters have high (+2.2), wide (+2.0) rear udders making Echo one of the best in the breed for rear udders. From these well attached, shallow udders comes high yielding milk with breed leading fat. +1289 lbs Milk, +72 lbs Fat (+0.07%), +40 lbs Protein (+0.03%), +354 CM$. Echo daughters are deep bodied, open ribbed and score well on dairy form (+1.2).

11JE0771 – Short Name: TUESDAY
High Component Taco Son – TUESDAY is a maternal brother to Alta udder specialist Barber Bill. With Super Taco as his sire, Tuesday is a source to add some Fat to the bulk tank - +0.10% Fat (+50 lbs.), +0.04% Protein (+31 lbs). +0.4 DPR, +2.7 PL. Daughters have a steep foot angle and balanced udders.

Strong Ligaments, Rump Improver – DO RIGHT came to the lineup as production specialist Dunkirk’s first active son. +969 lbs Milk, +0.01% Protein and low SCS (+2.89). Do Right is a rump angle improver, breed leader for udder cleft (+1.2), has close teat placement and has a great udder breakdown.

Limited Inventory – Type specialist KODY died a few months ago from kidney failure. As 2nd crop daughters continue to calve, Kody added over 200 daughters to his production proof this run and took the biggest JPITM jump of any bull in our lineup. From the Kelsey family, Kody continues to transmit a great open rib. Kody is a breed leader for Type (+1.7), Stature (+1.9), Rump Angle (+1.3), Udder Cleft (+1.3), RUH (+2.0) and has a great leg and foot angle along with teat placement. +2.9 PL, high fertility.

11JE0740 – Short Name: WHISKEY
Outcross, Long & Dairy – WHISKEY is our lowest EFI bull (+5.2) meaning he is the least related to the population. He is also our highest component bull - +0.27% Fat and +0.09% Protein. Whiskey daughters are long and dairy with shallow udders. Whiskey’s pedigree has a combination of US, Australian and New Zealand genetics.

Dam was the 2005 Western National Grand Champion, 2005 Reserve National Grand Champion and 2003 National Grand Champion. Daughters have begun to freshen and early reports are positive. Look for them in the show ring this summer and fall.
