Half million units for AltaLUCKY MIKE!
This week Alta bestseller, 7-year-old AltaLUCKY MIKE, reached a milestone by producing 500,000 units of semen. This milestone is a great achievement for the bull as his second crop daughters are just starting to calve. It is also a great accomplishment for the European Breeding program, which celebrates its 10th Anniversary this year!

He received his first proof in November 2003 and immediately became popular in the Netherlands with other European and North American countries joining in the excitement soon after. Thousands of Inseminations in the Netherlands
Since his debut, more then 200,000 units of AltaLUCKY MIKE have been sold in the Netherlands and, according to the statistics, more than 120,000 inseminations are registered. With 36,814 total inseminations in 2005 he was the second most-used bull in the Netherlands. With almost 30,000 total inseminations registered in 2006, he will rank in the top 5 of most used bulls in the Netherlands.
International Appeal
Globally, AltaLUCKY MIKE is known as the best Dutch sire available. He is convincing breeders around the globe about the power of Dutch genetics and the quality of Alta’s product development programs.
