NEW ACTIVE SIRE HIGHLIGHTS

11JE0798 SUNNY – MVF Kulp SJ Pmont Sunny-Et – Paramount x EX-92% Barber x EX-91% Sooner
As anticipated, Sunny has joined the Alta lineup as a high JPITM, high type, health trait sire with a very strong material line to back him up. This ‘East Coast Bull’, hailing from Pennsylvania, has a dam that excels in her combination of high volume milk with high fat content while being admired for her exceptional rear udder and width throughout. The MGD, also highly respected, performed in a commercial setting for over a decade. It is no wonder that Sunny is a standout for health traits with +2.9 PL, +2.95 SCS and +0.6 DPR. Daughters are built to last in today’s commercial environments with moderate size, durable feet & legs and a very well attached shallow mammary system. Be sure to use on cows with adequate strength. He is reasonable for milk yield and shines in protein content.

From the very early daughters that we saw from the rear of the headlocks, we knew there were great things to come for Forest. As additional daughters calved in, it was confirmed that Forest consistently produces high type daughters with size and exceptional udders. The tremendous udder traits have been passed down from his extraordinary maternal line going back to the Jersey icon Havs Chief Berretta Jade who at EX-95% scored an amazing 50 on both RUH and RUW. With a +1.8 overall PTAT Forest scores +1.2 FU, +2.3 RUH, +1.7 RUW, +1.5 UC, +1.1 UD and +1.5 TP. Combine this with his great leg and foot angle, high PL and DPR, over 700 lbs Milk – Forest is sure to be a favorite.

ACTIVE SIRE HIGHLIGHTS

122JE5198 ABE – Ahlem Lemvig Abe-Et – Lemvig x EX-91% Skyline
#3 JPITM – Producers that use Abe can combine high milk yields without having to sacrifice extreme component levels. Abe is a high reliability, low EFI, high fertility, high CFP sire with high PL enabling daughters to stay in the herd for an extended period of time. It’s no wonder that Abe is a favorite among our customers. Sometimes mature (extremely productive) first lactation daughters gain significant classification points as they gain lactations and add body depth while maintaining their udders. They are of moderate size and perform very well in a variety of environments.

#8 JPITM – Moving up the list this proof run, Que gained one complete PL point (+3.7) and climbed to over 1,000 lbs Milk while also increasing his fat percent to +0.16%. Combine this with his low SCS, high fertility ranking and +122 CFP; it’s no wonder that Que is being talked about. At a very respectful +1.0 PTAT, daughters are clean boned, have angular front ends and a wide, deep rib. He’s the perfect bull to dairy up some cows that have gotten a little round or thick boned.

11JE0780 MARLON – Sunset Canyon Marlon-Et – 122JE0101 Taco – EX-93% Haug
With the addition of 59 daughters to his type information this run, Marlon has increased his PTAT to +0.4. You can expect to see tall daughters that run up hill and have great strength. Marlon is the only ‘Taco’ son in the industry from the legendary ‘Maid’ cow that was known for her extreme fat percents and outcross genetics. He is an extreme component bull with +0.48% fat, +0.17% protein and +68 lbs Fat. He is an outlier at +1.0 DPR and 4.8 EFI.

122JE5181 SABER – O.F. Montana Saber-Et – Montana x EX-94% Lester
Saber has found 2nd Crop Success this proof run adding 146 production and 112 type daughters to his proof. With this additional information he climbed 97 lbs of milk and maintained his breed leading type with extremely tall and dairy daughters with very wide rear udders. 122JE5200 FUTURITY – Sunset Canyon Futurity-Et – 122JE5067 Jason x EX-95% Berretta
With the addition of 4 type daughters this proof run, Futurity is truly in a league of his own when it comes to rear udders. Futurity is the only bull in the breed to be over +3.0 for RUH (+3.1) and also is now +2.5 RUW and +1.8 FUA. They are balanced straight tracking cows that are a very pleasing to milk. Look for Futurity to add width from one end to the other. He is also +709 for production with positive fat and protein percents and low SCS.

Just as Tuesday is bred, he is a high fat sire with 50 lbs and +0.08% fat. He is a maternal brother to Alta udder specialist 122JE5134 Barber Bill and also hails from the same family as 11JE0753 Echo. Daughters can be small (just like the Barber Bill’s) but they are very long-lived with their steep foot angle, high DPR and high PL.

11JE0753 ECHO – Jenks All American Echo – American x EX-94% BVD
Echo is one of the highest ranking JPITM sires that is scored over 2.0 for both RUH and RUW. From these welded on udders he yields an impressive +1131 Milk and 66 lbs. Fat which is +0.07%. Daughters are open ribbed, have deep bodies and rank above average for stature.

122JE5194 RASMUS – Yosemite Lemvig Brook Rasmus – Lemvig x EX-90% Brook
The consistency of the Rasmus daughters continues to impress all that see them. These custom made daughters for today’s free-stall environments and parallel parlors excel because of their welded on shallow udders with great height and width. With their steep foot angle and width throughout; they are the kind you love to see at the feed bunk and walking to the parlor. With high fertility, +805 Milk, +2.2 PL and +2.92 SCS, they are going to a profitable addition to any herd.

After seeing a few Redwood daughters you will be sure to see the tall, long upstanding pattern that exists. Their very appealing udders are carried above the hock with exceptional height, width and cleft. Daughters will make a positive contribution to the milking herd with almost +1,000 Milk and +2.72 SCS.

122JE5197 DO RIGHT – Vee Tee Dunkirk Do Right-Et – 122JE5090 Dunkirk x EX-91% Dexter
Do Right continues to have tremendous user satisfaction. He is a high fertility bull that has been widely used in the purebred and crossbreeding markets. His sire, 122JE5090 Dunkirk, was a longtime breed leader for milk volume and cows that lasted numerous lactations. Do Right is following in Dunkirk’s steps with a great mammary system and moderate size. +861 Milk, +2.92 SCS and +2.2 PL.

Reggie is a commercial dairy bull that puts a very good package together. Daughters can be small, but they carry high and wide rear udders that produce over +1,000 Milk with a low SCS. From the Jenks herd in Idaho, his dam had a tremendous frame and mammary system.

122JE5177 MAX – Wilsonview Avery Max-Et - 122JE5063 Avery x EX-92% Brook
With the addition of 155 type daughters this proof run, Max’s reputation for high type and great udders is solidified. There are also an additional 240 production daughters with many of them being early lactation. Max is a high fertility sire that excels in PL and has high component percents. The first crop daughters have added tremendous amounts of body, a sweeping open rib and mammary systems with a wealth of veination.

11JE0737 MEGASTAR – ISAU Rowantree Jugiong Megastar – Soldya x EX Bistar
Megastar has continued to add daughters in Australia; improving his overall production and health traits with the US conversions. The daughters are standouts for stature and prominent front ends with hard tops. Width is exhibited from one end to the other. Combine all of these mentioned positive attributes with their great feet & legs and Megastar daughters can easily find their way into any environment in the US and excel.

Whiskey is a sire that combines some of the best genetics from 3 different countries – New Zealand, United States and Australia. The bull himself hails from Australia where the daughters are exceptionally long and dairy. This high component, shallow udder depth, low EFI sire of sons offers some great genetics.
