ConceptPlus: thanks to Advantage

The Advantage program allows us to supply the most pertinent information to our customers. The first of these measures has been ConceptPlus, and what a success it has been. The value of ConceptPlus for the sales team, and our customers is incredible. At a time when we were really working hard to improve our fertility image, the ability to collect REAL PREGNACY information from farms was vital to prove to our customers that our product is superior. And it wouldn’t have been possible without the Advantage program, and the collection of data from Advantage herds. It is the best example to date on how Advantage is coming through!

Our ability to constantly collect data directly via DC305, PCDART, and DHIPLUS from our Advantage herds, gives us a great measure of fertility for both our proven and young sire semen. The collection of data early in a sire’s life (while they are a young sire) allows us to know which bulls are extreme (one way or the other) for fertility before they are ever released. This allows a bull to “hit the ground running” when he is finally released.

The ability to collect the information directly from the farm, and corrected for all environmental factors through a model we developed internally, allows us to have the most accurate information available. Including correction factors in the model for things like the technician that bred the cow (there are certainly differences between technicians at many farms) and synchronization code (some farms administer ovsynch shots in a timely manner, others do not) have made ConceptPlus the industry standard for accurate male fertility information!
