Alta Genetics has an immediate opening for a JD Edwards Projects Lead. This position is responsible for overall management of Alta's global JD Edward EnterpriseOne ERP system.
The right person for this position has a proven track record in the JDE Distribution module . The ideal candidate has extensive experience in business process analysis, design and re-engineering, as well as project management experience. Previous implementation experience and ongoing process improvement experience are both must-haves. In addition to JDE Distribution module experience, preference would be given to candidates who also have experience with any of the following:
- Advanced pricing
- Inventory management
- Warehouse managment
- Finance - GL, AR, AP, Fixed Assets
- User Productivity Kit
- Global implementations and/or systems managment
The person selected for this role will manage a team of dedicated staff as well as third party contractors. Responsibilities include managing the day to day requirements of our existing businesses as well as expanding our implementation to our global subsidiaries. This person will be the internal champion for JD Edwards within Alta, and must continually look for opportunities to drive process improvements and consolidation. This position will be based at our corporate head office in Balzac, Alberta, just north of Calgary city limits.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position is ultimately responsible for maintaining and increasing sales volume through a consultative approach and program focus with established accounts and aggressively seeking new clients in the progressive dairy sector. You will work directly with up to 6 district representatives to grow sales in their regions. Your goals and objectives will align with creating value for your clients and an absolute devotion to customer satisfaction, courtesy, and professionalism in everything we do. You will perform in a consultative manner with passion and aggression combined with an ability to focus on becoming the best in your area through exceptional customer service and value creation.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- An In-depth knowledge of reproductive management on large progressive dairies and the artificial insemination industry.
- Excellent sales and negotiating skills and experience.
- Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Must have an excellent work ethic and organizational skills
- Computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office Products
- Must be value orientated, resilient, disciplined and dedicated
- Understanding of Dairy Comp 305 and/or PC Dart, DHI Plus
- Advanced dairy business knowledge
- Willingness to Travel
- Self-starter with proven energy and motivation, willing to find, develop & close sales leads.
- Must be results oriented and driven by both financial and career opportunities.
- Valid driver’s license
EDUCATION REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent dairy business experience preferred
