Second lactation AltaRUSH daughters look AWESOME
One of the early Shottle-sons with a daughter proof at Alta is Willem's Hoeve AltaRUSH. This Health and Type specialist from the Willem's Hoeve Rita family is appreciated by the owners of his first crop milking daughters. After calving for the 2nd time they mature into well balanced cows with fantastic udders.

AltaRUSH is an exciting Shottle son with a different sire stack; his dam is Rita 277 VG88, by Jester, from the excellent Lord Lily granddam Rita 233a. This former FutureStar has 140 milking daughters in Advantage® now and excels in health traits; 2.58 SCS and +3.7 PL. His UDC (+2.47) and F&L (+1.95) score result in a total score of +2.32 PTAT. AltaRUSH is a ConceptPlus bull and is recommended for heifers (7% Sire Calving Ease). He is a great partner for all the O-Man bloodlines, the AltaBAXTER and AltaARMSTEAD daughters and AltaHERSHEL and BW Marshall granddaughters. He is the total package deal and is easy to use for every commercial dairy farmer.
During the first lactation the AltaRUSH daughters were already on the Advantage® consultants' list of favourites. Now the first daughters are starting to calve back for the second time and are even more impressive. According to Chrissy Meyer, Advantage® consultant in the Mid West:
"The AltaRUSH daughters in their second lactation look AWESOME! Their udders have matured so nicely and are still high above the hock with very tight attachments. They are still moderate-sized with good combination of dairyness and strength and adequate depth and width of chest. Their legs are still very good as well."
AltaRUSH brings daughters that will satisfy our customers; hard working, trouble free cows, that are medium sized, have wide rumps and udders that are high above the hock with wide and high rear udder attachments.

The dam of AltaRUSH, Rita 277 VG88 is still at the Willem's Hoeve herd of the family De Jong. She will be 10 years old in August this year and has several VG, well performing daughters by Shottle, Duplex, Okendo and AltaDARWIN at their farm. Recently 2 AltaBAXTER daughters from the Rita family at Willem's Hoeve have been scored VG86 with VG87-MS and both are milking easy over 40 kgs per day. The Rita's are very consistent in transmitting beautiful udders; nice shaped, well attached shallow udders with perfect teat placement and wide in the rear with great udder texture.
Soon there will be more genomic results on recently born bulls from this tremendous family. We are looking forward to these results, but know there is no need to hurry as AltaRUSH is available worldwide...
